Assistant Operation Manager
The Operations Manager for our leisure and family entertainment center is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation. They will meet with each direct report to review goals, inspect progress, and key indicators for each area. The Operations Manager will work to solve problems, exploit opportunities, and hold each individual accountable for their results. They will also execute long-range planning to ensure the continued growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and train management staff:
Delegate tasks, provide training, give feedback, and ensure continuous professional growth for the management team. - Oversee facility operations:
Manage daily operations, ensure quality control, and address any operational issues or inefficiencies promptly. - Manage P&L and set sales targets:
Monitor financial performance, analyze expenses, set sales goals, and track progress towards achieving budget targets. - Supervise team recruitment and development:
Assist with recruitment efforts, conduct interviews, onboard new team members, provide training, and foster a culture of accountability and growth. - Conduct safety meetings:
Initiate regular safety meetings, address concerns, implement safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. - Maintain service standards:
Interact with guests, monitor service quality, address any issues or complaints, and ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered. - Drive continuous improvement:
Identify areas for enhancement, implement process improvements, optimize workflows, and seek ways to enhance the guest experience
Skills, Education, and Experience:
- A college degree and/or a minimum of five years of management experience, preferably in the leisure or family entertainment industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong financial skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for handling staff and customers with diplomacy.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for managing business administration and personal matters.
